Mother's Day

Today was a work day for us.  Every mother's dream, right? After church we cleaned out our flower beds and spread out 4 big bags of mulch (we need atleast 2 more to finish the job). This was long overdue. We also did laundry and general cleaning around the house. As for celebrating Mother's Day, per my request, Phillip made us a wonderful breakfast... turkey bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and orange juice. We rarely have a big breakfast so this was a treat. For lunch I made poppyseed chicken and rice. We have eaten good today!

Ellen "helped" with the yard work but also found time to color with chalk in the garage

My heart swells for this girl
We also welcomed Aunt Laurie to our dog-infested home. She is going to stay with us some this summer. Ellen, George and Lucy are super excited (so are we!)
