How in the world do I customize this blog?

I am not good at this...maybe I am just not cut out to be a blogger! I must admit I have not taken the time to figure this thing out. I am still e-mailing pictures of Ellen instead of just posting them here. I just looked at David and Crystal's blog which motivated me to take action. More to come.
