I spent the first half of the month preparing for our upcoming trip and the second half coughing my head off (and feeling quite miserable). If I had one cough drop in my mouth it was likely there were two more shoved in there somewhere. Do you know how much energy it takes to try and not cough? A lot. But the worst is over and I am starting to feel like my normal self again. Which is good because I have a vacation to plan :)

I don't always feel like there aren't enough hours in the day but here lately, I find myself wishing I had more time. More time for things both big and small. Just throwing that out there.

Ellen has now watched 4 of the Star Wars movies, including The Force Awakens. Return of the Jedi is her favorite (Phillip's too).

Granddaddy was here! He arrived Wednesday afternoon and stayed until lunchtime on Saturday. He brought bubbles, a jump rope and stuffed animals. Lilly named her monkey Spencer.
Chick-fil-A before church
Granddaddy bought us a welcome mat at Lowe's
The real purpose of our trip was to check out flooring options for our house. We really need new carpet.
No visit with Granddaddy is complete without going to Chuck E. Cheese!
Lots of new rides
Big winner!

Phillip joined us after work
In addition to what is documented above, we watched The Good Dinosaur (another Red Box rental), ate lasagna (I typically make a meaty pasta dish when Dad is in town), played a few board games and did a lot of taking and catching up (my favorite part).
It's always nice having Dad here. And not just because he fixes things and baby-sits :)
He patched the ceiling in our kitchen and watched the girls Friday night so Phillip and I could enjoy dinner, shopping and a movie (we had the best time!)
He is planning to come back in June to finish up a few projects.
And hopefully Ellen and Lilly will have their acts together by then. Why can't we all just get along?
