Thanksgiving 2015

We survived another Thanksgiving :)  (I don't know how some people do it.  Maybe they drink?)  The weather was beautiful and there was food, family and football (and shopping)... basically, all of the good things in life.

With school being out, me off work and Phillip working from home some, we were all together most of the week.

Speaking of togetherness, Ellen and Lilly both slept in Lilly's bed four nights in a row and lived to tell the tale.

Monday:  Phillip went to the office, Lilly in school (10-3), Ellen accompanied me to the dentist, lunch with Phillip (dessert from Puffy Muffin), dinner at the Moss's (we met De Ye for the first time)

Tuesday:  Phillip worked from home, the girls and I spent the day together, I found out I didn't get the job I recently applied for (disappointing but putting my trust in God), Mom and Dad arrived late (around midnight)

Wednesday:  Phillip worked half day from home and then mowed the yard, enjoyed catching up with Mom and Dad, we had a plumber out to fix an issue with the girl's bathtub ($$$), Phillip and I picked up pies from Whole Foods, Andrea and crew arrived in time for dinner (yay!)

Thursday:  Thanksgiving!  We were in the kitchen most of the day.  We ate a little before 1:00, Carolina beat Dallas, Phillip did a little Christmas shopping later that night (Target had some deals Santa couldn't pass up)

Friday:  Black Friday shopping (always fun), the kiddos played outside, we made cookies, Mom, Dad and Phillip went out to dinner and did some shopping, watched Home Alone :)

Saturday:  Mom and Dad left mid-morning (Andrea and Caleb were already on the road), we went for a walk and rode bikes, I did a little more shopping (in stores and online), dinner at Brooklyn Brothers Pizza (we couldn't do leftovers), watched Shaun the Sheep (our first time using redbox)

And although not technically part of Thanksgiving week, Sunday (yesterday):  Church, Walmart, pulled out all of the Christmas decorations (the house is a mess!), taco soup for dinner (perfect on a rainy day), Broncos/Patriots

In conclusion, we had a great Thanksgiving.  It was such a treat to be home all week (I go back to work 12/2 for 9 days and then I am off again).  Nothing beats spending time with family (even though I am better long distance than I am in person).  The kids got along well.  I washed a ton of dishes.  Mom took the dogs (and various kids) for a walk every day.  I almost got to see Mockingjay Part 2.  I now know not to take ibuprofen with Mito2Max (a doTERRA supplement).  We also know not to get another blueberry pie from Whole Foods (not that great).

#thankful

P.S.  We would still be eating leftovers today but I cleaned out the fridge last night.

Lilly hasn't been feeling well but I think (I hope) she is on the mend.  We spent the morning decorating the house for Christmas.  I love that little girl!
