Lazy Saturday - didn't even leave the house

Ellen is still not feeling very good.  Cranky and not eating or drinking all that much.  We stayed around the house all day and relaxed and played when she felt like it.  We are ready to have our not-sick Ellen back!  We like her a lot better than this Ellen :)

I have been a busy little bee...but also a little sick

I am home with Ellen today - double ear infection, fever and just plain pitiful!  It has been a pretty good day for a sick day.  We went to the doctor this morning and then got her prescription filled.  Lots of Motrin and Tylenol throughout last night and today.  Lots of "I don't feel good" tears.  Lots of hugs and kisses too.

Here are a few pictures from this week...

Fun with Grandmother, Aunt Andrea, Uncle Caleb and cousin Ashling

We had a great visit with mom, Andrea, Caleb and Ashling this weekend.  We celebrated Ellen's birthday, went shopping and enjoyed spending time together.  Ellen got some great books, cds, clothes, Pajamas, 2 stuffed animals, a puzzle, pink Robeez with cute mermaids on them, a big girl towel (she has outgrown her other bath towels!) and LeapFrog's Fridge Phonics.  We are already enjoying all of these wonderful gifts.

Caleb was not feeling so great - we hope you are better!

It is always nice being with family.

Monday Morning Breakfast

Meals can be stressful but there is something about breakfast that is nice and peaceful.  She is in a good mood after a long nights sleep and there are lots of smiles.  We only get to experience this on Saturdays and Sundays, but I was off today and got to spend this time with Ellen.

Highlights from Ellen's birthday celebration

Today we celebrated Ellen's birthday with the McCulloughs.  It was fun!  Ellen got a lot of nice presents and we are very thankful.  She got books, clothes, toys and a cell phone...what more could a 1 year old girl need?
Scroll down for lots of new pictures... not really in a good order, but hopefully you'll feel like you were here anyway!  (which is good since my side of the family could not be here due to an unexpected death in Caleb's family).

Thanks to Russ, Nancy, Kendra, Laurie and David for your love and generosity.  Ellen is lucky to have such wonderful grandparents, aunts and uncle.  George and Lucy think you're great too!

Cakes from The Flour Shop

This captures Ellen's first impression of the cake

First bite of the actual cake part

It was funny how she pinched off small bits of icing - very girly
