We have been doing well. No one is currently sick and we hope to keep it that way. Ellen had some sort of stomach virus and then had back to back ear infections. Phillip and I have had on-going sinus problems and he had a really bad eye infection. Only the dogs have remained unscathed.
Ellen is not walking on her own yet, but she is getting more and more steady walking while holding our hands. She loves to push her walking toy around the house (she gets frustrated when she runs into something that stops her-it is funny). She still likes her books, but hasn't been taking them all off the shelves lately. She used to do this several time a day if permitted. Now she likes balls and trucks. She also likes to hold on to pens/crayons and paper and "write". She does a lot with her left hand but always puts the pen in her right hand. Hopefully she will be like Phillip...he writes with his right hand but plays sports with his left. I am so right hand dominant that I feel weak when using my left. Ellen also enjoys her puzzles. She is doing so many new things every day! We are in constant amazement. She is definitely a talker and we love it. Her sweet voice melts our hearts.
Just in case this changes, and it probably will as she goes through different eating phases, Ellen loves steamed squash, zucchini and broccoli. We steam carrots for her too, but she likes the others better. She really likes green beans and limas too. We are glad that she eats and enjoys vegetables. She is a good eater in general and likes a variety of foods.
We are planning to get our pumpkins today. I can remember when we did this last year. She was tiny then. She is not a little baby anymore! So sad!
We are looking forward to Cody's wedding in Texas (Phillip only), Halloween, a visit from Granddaddy, Thanksgiving and then Christmas. This is the best time of year.
