Unfortunately, and most inconveniently, the McCullough side of the family (excluding Ellen) hasn't been feeling very well, which put a slight (where slight = major) damper on this typically delightful, delicious (delightfully delicious) holiday.  We are slowly but surely on the mend.  We really just need one night of good, uninterrupted sleep to get us back on track.  I'm talking to you, Lilly.

An Update: Youngest to Oldest

Lilly is 10 months and 1 day old (how so big so fast?)  She recently discovered her tongue and likes to grab it, or try to (so funny to watch).  She chews on washcloths like UNLV's Jerry Tarkanion used to chew on hand towels while he coached.  We lowered her crib over the weekend just to be on the safe side.  She is into everything!  We love her to pieces.

"I got in the back of the line and said in my quietest voice, this is not a good day for me." - Ellen regarding being accused of cutting in line (she said I cutted but I didn't).  A day or two earlier she lamented, "Nothing is working out for me today."  And she got in trouble yesterday for fighting over a toy (she got her apple pulled but got it back at the end of the day).  As you can see, Ellen is not having a very good week.  Thanksgiving break could not have come at a better time for my typically sweet, sunny, peace-loving girl.  On a more positive note, she is doing great with her Super Hero Sight Word Challenge (she is on the 3rd list of words and is ready for the 4th).  Slow but steady.

George, our attention hog, is doing what he does best... sitting at our feet, laying by our side, following us around the house and shoving his Nylabones in our face.  At the first sign of movement in the morning he springs out of bed, grabs a bone and wags his tail with great intensity.  He is always ready and willing to take on the day.

Lucy is as indifferent as ever but with the colder weather comes her need to be under the covers, pressed right up next to your legs (her way of saying I love you but I love your body heat more).  And she will not be moved!  Lucy is very tolerant of Lilly (as is George) and I dare say she has taken a liking to our little firecracker.  She is always ready and willing to take on lunch.

Phillip is doing well.  His team went to a new restaurant for lunch today: Old Chicago Pizza (Cool Springs).  His review: very good.  They saw four Nashville Predators players.  His boss is a big hockey fan (her son plays for a travel team).  She said it was a good thing one of the Preds wasn't with them, referring to her favorite player Chris Mason... "I would have had to go sit on his lap and tell him what I want for Christmas."  Hockey fans sure are passionate about their sport!

I am the oldest (and wisest) member of my household and therefore the buck stops here.  Not really.  I only wish I was in control :)  I am gearing up for Thanksgiving, finding it odd that they are playing Christmas music in stores (don't they know Christmas is cancelled?), feeling the effects of what appears to be holiday traffic and having thoughts such as: When I do have the time, will I still want to do all of the things I wish I had time to do now?

On that note, I'm going to bed!

Book Fair (What have I gotten myself into?)

I am not known for my math skills.  Make sure you count your change, kids.
