Always an adventure

We allowed the girls to get a little grocery cart at Kroger on Saturday but they had to share (we grabbed one from the cart corral on our way in).  It went about as well as can be expected.

Working together for a change :)
 We love the bumpy part!
(By the way, I want that table and chairs in the background, but in white)
Decorating cookies for Mother's Day (which they ate right afterwards-ha!)
Happy shopper!
Telling me what's in her cart

I do my best grocery shopping at Kroger.  I think it might be Lilly's favorite too :)

Shenanigans

While Ellen is at gymnastics on Saturday mornings, Phillip's been taking her lately, Lilly and I stay behind and work around the house.  And we sometimes play :)

Changing Ellen's sheets is more fun with this little helper.  We jumped, bounced, sang along with Laurie Berkner, played parachute with the top sheet and Lilly even pretended to take a nap.

Is she or isn't she?
She had a little trouble keeping her eyes closed which made for some really funny pictures!
Snoring and everything in this one
Trying not to smile (and possibly ready for a real nap after all of that jumping around)

What a fun morning!

(She's looking a little too comfortable in this big girl bed!)

Guppy Love

We have a fish.  Murray.  (It's a girl.  Ellen chose the name.)  We adopted her from school.  So far so good but not sure how long Murray is going to make it living in a glass bowl on our kitchen counter (I did some research and fish require a lot more than I bargained for).

The note Ellen gave me the day she brought Murray home (I told her I didn't think they sold fish food at CVS so she included "just check".)

Mini North Carolina Reunion

Mindy and Chris organized/hosted a North Carolina reunion Saturday evening.  Several families could not make it this go round but we had fun catching up with The Williams, meeting Caroline and seeing Lee.

It was a beautiful night for a walking tour of the Tennessee Children's Home property

Hannah took Lilly under her wing.  So sweet!

Not pictured:  Ellen and Justus who were riding bikes ahead of the group and Lee who arrived a little later due to work

Bloom where you're planted

My department was issued a flower growing challenge yesterday that coincided with the bloom where you're planted concept discussed at our weekly team meeting.  We were each given one of these Daisy Grow Kits and the timeframe, the month of May, but little else.  The only rule is the plant cannot leave the office.  Should be fun.

I don't have a lot of experience in this area so I'm looking to Ellen's bean plant for inspiration :)
